Buffalo Gun Club Completes a Record ATA Year

Friday August 31, 2007;

Wally Shelstad and Ron Baker attained Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) target milestones.

The squad consisting of (left to right ), Mark Stevens, Wally Shelstad, Mark Smith and Ron Baker,  shot 100 16 yard targets, 100 handicap targets and 50 pair of doubles targets, Friday August 31, 2007.  Allowing Ron and Wally to attain milestones of 50,000 ATA targets.

Club President Wally Shelstad, 78-01172,  registered his 50,000^th ATA singles target.  Wally finished with a perfect 100x100. 

Club Webmaster, Ron Baker, 28-01139, registered his 50,000^th handicap target, gaining an additional ½ yard, to the 26½ yard line, for his 96x100.   In the following event, Baker capped off his day by breaking his 50,000^th  doubles target.

These individual accomplishments capped a record setting year for the Buffalo Gun Club and its staff and membership: 

For the ATA 2007 target year which ran from September 1, 2006 until August 31, 2007

• Buffalo Gun Club was named the ATA 2007 Club of the Year 
• Buffalo Gun Club signed up 70 new ATA members
• Registered 107,750 ATA Targets
